Pain Relief in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis

Pain relief in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia using low-frequency pulsed magnetic therapy was tested by N. M. Shupak (2006) and his research team in the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled parallel study.

Immediate analgesic effects of low-frequency pulsed magnetic field were evaluated in 31 patients after just one 30-minute application.

The results, despite going through only one short application of pulsed magnetic therapy, proved undeniable analgesic effect. Patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis immediately noticed very significant alleviation of pain.

The therapeutic effect of low-frequency pulsed magnetic therapy is therefore an ideal non-pharmacological alternative for immediate relief of pain in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
