A Group of 121 Patients Suffering from Diabetic Neuropathy
A group of 121 patients suffering from diabetic neuropathy underwent applications of pulsed magnetic therapy with 10 Hz and 100 Hz frequencies. The scientific team (Musaev et al., 2003) clinically evaluated the treatment and its findings were then published in journal of Behavioral Neuroscience and Physiology.
Clinical and electroneuromyographic (ENMG) assessments were performed before and after the pulsed magnetic therapy treatment.
Based on the results of this study it is clear that pulsed magnetic therapy relieves overall pain, significantly calms clinical symptoms of diabetic neuropathy and improves peripheral nerve conductivity and excitability of motor neurons in the spinal cord that directly or indirectly control muscles.
The results also showed that the low-frequency pulsed magnetic field of 10 Hz frequency has a significant therapeutic effect especially on patients in the early stages of diabetic neuropathy and on patients suffering from diabetes up to 10 years.
