Can you hear murmuring, humming or whistling in your ears? These and other unpleasant noises in your ear or head can accompany a disease called tinnitus.
Characteristics of Tinnitus and its causes
Tinnitus is a kind of hearing perception, which does not have a sound source outside of the human body. Its source can be inside or outside of the ear.
Tinnitus can be accompanied by vertigo (dizziness), and may cause anxiety and sleeplessness. Symptoms tend to worsen during mental strain.
Objective tinnitus is a rare occurrence, in which case the examining doctor can hear it, too. Objective form is usually tied to a malformation of some part of the auditory system. It could be a gaping tuba auditive, palatine muscle twitching, an aneurism near the ear or other causes.
Subjective tinnitus can be only heard by the patient. Subjective symptoms are very common. They can be tied to hearing impairment, decreased blood perfusion, inflammation, hearing damaged by extremely loud noises, professional deafness, injury to the ear and a range of others.
Tinnitus can also be induced by stress, noise, smoking, alcohol, drug abuse, high blood pressure, vascular or heart disease, damage to the cervical spine, brain tumours or hormonal dysfunction.
Tinnitus is a symptom that can accompany Meniere’s disease. Tinnitus also is noted in cases where there is no sign of damage to the hearing.
Occurrence of tinnitus increases with an age of 60 and above.
Tinnitus treatment – rid yourself of the pain
Strategies for treating tinnitus differ as much as its causes. While interviewing the patient, subjective features of tinnitus are examined.
Audiometric exams are performed to determine the extent of damage. Additionally, otomicroscopy and examination of the bone conduction system of the ear (similar to examining ears with a microscope) are also performed. Often, it is necessary to perform neurological, internal, ocular and psychiatric examinations.
If the cause of tinnitus is found, treatment lies in removing this cause.
With chronic forms without apparent cause, it is necessary to lessen the symptom, e.g. by a noise masking device, or by cochlear implant.
Stimulation of cerebral cortex in the area of the left temporal lobe by 3D Biomag pulse therapy has been applied as a therapeutic method in recent years.
3D Biomag pulse therapy helps solve tinnitus.
Explanation of chosen terms:
- Cochlear implant – an ear implant, which substitutes function of cochlea in the inner ear.
- Audiometric examination – examination that determines how damaged a patent’s hearing is.
- Otomicroscopy– a thorough microscopic examination of the ear.
- Tuba auditiva – auditory tube, connects nasopharynx and middle ear.
Patented 3D Biomag pulsed therapy. How does it work?
The basic principle of 3D Biomag magnetotherapy is generating electromagnetic pulses. The generated pulses penetrate through layers of clothing and even body tissues to the place of application. These pulses have specially developed biotropic parameters (e.g. frequency, profile, intensity), thanks to which the pulsed magnetotherapy affects various health conditions.
The term pulse magnetotherapy is most commonly used for physiotherapy using the principle of electromagnetic pulses. The abbreviation PEMF is used in order to be concise.
Patented 3D Biomag technology ensures more precise and uninterrupted pulse profiles, enhances output, and allows pulses to come from various angles. This makes it a completely new and unique medical technology on the market.
What are the benefits of treatment for tinnitus?
- Helps improve blood flow through arterioles and capillaries.
- Improves conditions for normal functioning.
- Thanks to being easy to use, it can be applied at home.
- It’s a solution with no additional medicaments.
- It’s a non-invasive treatment.

The effects of pulsed therapy - clinical studies
Effects of pulse therapy (PEMF) on tinnitus are supported by many studies. E.g. by a clinical study from 2006, executed at the Department of Psychiatry, Psychosomathy and Psychotherapy in Regensburg, Germany, shows that stimulation by pulse therapy can effectively treat chronical tinnitus. It follows that 3D Biomag pulse therapy can reduce symptoms of tinnitus and dilute perception of symptoms. More about the scientific study here.
Positive effects of pulse magnetic field (PEMF) are evidenced by clinical studies by authorities on the subject and renowned institutions. The newest list of these clinical studies can be found on this page. Contact us and we will gladly help to familiarize yourself with this expert data.
Our department uses pulse magnetic field application very well. We appreciate that not only is there an option to used numbered programmes, but also to set up our own programmes. The device is small and easy to operate with good output.
University hospital Na Bulovce, Prague – Physiotherapy department
We have been utilising pulse magnetic field treatment in our spa for more than 10 years. We use Biomag devices for both physiotherapy and spa treatment. It is very advantageous to combine magnetotherapy with other physiotherapy methods because the effect of magnetotherapy potentiates with other methods (analgesic, anti-oedematous, recovery and myorelaxing).
Bělohrad Peat Spa – Lázně Bělohrad
We are happy with the device. The applicators are also easy to operate, and treatment results are satisfying. Feedback from patients is positive. Average number of applications is 50 per week.
