Are you looking for a solution for the pain?

Would you like to rid yourself of the issue?

Characteristics of Tarsal and Ankle Pain and Swelling and its Causes

Most often, it manifests itself as strong pain that limits full range of movement of the limb and its capability to carry weight. Usually it is only one metatarsus that hurts, but in some cases both of them can hurt at the same time.

The pain is of stinging or piercing character and is often accompanied by swelling. Sports people often suffer from these issues after too much strain is put on their metatarsus. Another common occurrence is in pregnant women due to weight gain. In this case, the affected area may be both metatarsus or the sole of the foot.

In case of ankle pain, a sprain is often the cause. During a sprain, there is excessive stretch, distortion or tear on the ligament. This leads to swelling of the ankle, which hurts when there is weight put on it.

Other causes of pain:

  • diabetic neuropathy,
  • lower limb ischaemia,
  • tendonitis,
  • fallen arches,
  • inappropriate footwear,
  • injuries,
  • fractures and others.

Tarsal and Ankle Pain and Swelling Treatment – Rid yourself of the Issue

Treatment is always determined on the basis of the cause of the pain. Common treatments are rest and cold compresses on the affected area.

Limiting strain and administering analgesics (like Aspirin or Ibuprofen) is always a part of treatment.

After acute pain subsides, the limb may be gradually used again. At first,a tight bandage should be applied to the area.

Suitable exercise or rehabilitation can gradually achieve stretching limb muscles so that functionality is fully renewed.

3D Biomag therapy plays an important role in physical treatment. Applying this therapy can significantly and effectively reduce pain in metatarsus and ankles. Its other goal is to reduce swelling and promote faster regeneration.

Explanation of chosen terms:

  • Distortion – sprain, occurs by direct or indirect pressure when physiological range of joint mobility is exceeded.
  • Metatarsus – instep, the part of the foot between the toes and the ankle.

Patented 3D Biomag pulsed therapy. How does it work?

The basic principle of 3D Biomag magnetotherapy is generating electromagnetic pulses. The generated pulses penetrate through layers of clothing and even body tissues to the place of application. These pulses have specially developed biotropic parameters (e.g. frequency, profile, intensity), thanks to which the pulsed magnetotherapy affects various health conditions.

The term pulse magnetotherapy is most commonly used for physiotherapy using the principle of electromagnetic pulses. The abbreviation PEMF is used in order to be concise.

Patented 3D Biomag technology ensures more precise and uninterrupted pulse profiles, enhances output, and allows pulses to come from various angles. This makes it a completely new and unique medical technology on the market.

What are the benefits of therapy of tarsal and ankle pain?

  • Reduces pain and swelling.
  • Has vasodilating and regenerative effect.
  • Creates better metabolic conditions in the exposed area.
  • Thanks to user-friendly operation, it can be administered in home care.
  • Is a solution that requires no additional medicaments.
  • Is noninvasive treatment.

3D Biomag therapy and its effects – as explained by MUDr. Peter Bednarčík, CSc.

The effects of pulsed therapy - clinical studies

The clinically-most-significant effects of 3D Biomag pulsed therapy in patients with tarsal and ankle pain is mainly in the analgesic (painkilling), anti-oedematous (anti-swelling), vasodilating and regenerative effects.

Positive effects of pulse magnetic field (PEMF) are evidenced by clinical studies by authorities on the subject and renowned institutions. The newest list of these clinical studies can be found on this page. Contact us and we will gladly help to familiarize yourself with this expert data.

Our department uses pulse magnetic field application very well. We appreciate that not only is there an option to used numbered programmes, but also to set up our own programmes. The device is small and easy to operate with good output.

University hospital Na Bulovce, Prague – Physiotherapy department

We have been utilising pulse magnetic field treatment in our spa for more than 10 years. We use Biomag devices for both physiotherapy and spa treatment. It is very advantageous to combine magnetotherapy with other physiotherapy methods because the effect of magnetotherapy potentiates with other methods (analgesic, anti-oedematous, recovery and myorelaxing).

Bělohrad Peat Spa – Lázně Bělohrad

We are happy with the device. The applicators are also easy to operate, and treatment results are satisfying. Feedback from patients is positive. Average number of applications is 50 per week.

Masaryk hospital, Jilemnice

After a fracture of the tibia, removal of gypsum, and several months of rehabilitation, I was left with a stiff, swollen and painful ankle. After a purchase of the magnetotherapeutic device, the pain of my ankle stopped, the device assisting the entire family.

Hana Hobzová, Sázava

I made a bone abnormality under my ankle. It was pretty painful, surgery took place. At the beginning of the use of the magnet my leg ached even more, but after three weeks the pain subsided.

Leona Reková, Ronov nad Doubravou

I borrowed magnets for my family and use against to swollen hands, legs and cervical spine. We were more than happy.
